The daily hire charges include diesel tax, unlimited kilometres, and GST (12.5%) charges. All charges are calculated on a daily basis, not a twenty-four hour day. Vehicles are available at 8.00 am on the you commence your hire and must be returned by 5.00pm at termination unless prior arrangements are made.

When you receive your confirmation a deposit of NZ$500 is required to secure the booking. The balance of monies owing to Tui is required 28 days before hire commences. Cancellation fees apply.

The insurance is included in the daily rate and covers your hire vehicle, third party property and public liability to NZ$ 1000000.00 The hirer is liable for the first NZ$ 2500.00 (NZ$ 3400.00 for drivers under 25 years) of any damage caused in any one accident.

The bond taken at the commencement of the hire is to cover this.

All hirers are subject to a bond of NZ$ 2500.00 (NZ$ 3400.00 for drivers under 25 years) This Bond is taken by way of a credit card imprint at the commencement of the hire. This bond is returned if the vehicle has not been involved in an accident and is in a reasonably clean and undamaged condition.

Tui offers Bond Waiver Insurance as an optional extra at a fixed rate of NZ$ 20.00 per day (NZ$ 32.00 per day for drivers under 25 years) on any hires 10 days or over. This ensures that with any accident there is no loss of bond. The hirer is still liable up to their standard excess for single vehicle incidents involving misjudgement of dimensions. Please note: A credit card imprint will still be taken for a fuel / cleaning bond.

For all rental vehicles there is a minimum period of five (5) days. It is possible to commence your hire in Christchurch and finish it in Auckland (or vice versa) at no extra charge if the rental period is a minimum of fourteen (14) days.

Included in every campervan is a Travel Information Pack - this includes details on camping grounds, maps, New Zealand traffic rules, sightseeing brochures and general information.

The renter is fully liable for any damage to the Tui Campers vehicle or third party property if:

• The terms of the rental contract are breached
• Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving on restricted roads
• Water submersion or salt water damage caused through own fault
• In case of any damage to the Tui Campers vehicle or third party property a second bond will be collected to cover the excess for any subsequent damage

Regretfully no refunds can be given for any unused portion of you holiday.

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of hire, and must be returned with a full tank at the end of your hire.

We shall make every effort to provide the vehicle you requested but where a vehicle is unavailable for any reason we reserve the right to provide a comparably high standard vehicle at no extra cost to cost. While including the same facilities, vehicle layouts may vary slightly to these shown due to manufacturer design changes.

All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and hold a current valid drivers license, to be produced at the start of the hire. An international or country of origin license is acceptable. No special license is required to drive campervans/motorhomes in New Zealand.

Tui Campers depots are conveniently located in Auckland and Christchurch, our two major international gateways. Two convenient depot locations.

HOURS: Monday to Sunday 8 am – 5 pm (Closed Christmas day!)

Auckland
Tui Campers uses taxis/shuttles as the preferred method of transfer. This allows you to transfer at your convenience. Tui will refund up to NZ$ 20.00 of your transfer costs against receipt.

Christchurch
We offer a complimentary transfer service from Christchurch Airport and surrounding Hotels, Motels, etc to our depot. Please contact our office on your arrival to arrange your transfer.

Cancellation fees are as follows :

• 29 days and over Deposit retained
• 20 - 29 20% (or deposit, whichever is agreed)
• 10 - 19 days 40% of total reservation cost
• 1 - 9 days 75% of total reservation cost
• No Show 100% of total reservation cost

Vehicle are not covered by insurance if travelling on the following roads:

Ninety Mile Beach (Northland)
Skippers Road (Queenstown)
