For all our tours we have the option of a full-time professional tour guide with you for the whole tour (fully guided) or a tour guide to start you off in the right direction (personalized). Tours - Fully Guided An experience of a lifetime With our Fully Guided Tours you get to experience New Zealand at its very best. You will explore the most beautiful areas of New Zealand on only the best motorcycles, staying in carefully selected, high quality hotels or lodges, and will have a professional tour guide. All our tour guides are resident New Zealanders and won’t be beaten when it comes to recommending routes or providing background information on the country and culture. A detailed tour itinerary will be posted/faxed or emailed to you prior to your arrival in New Zealand. This allows you to leave contact details for any time during your stay with the people who may need to get in touch with you. You won't need to worry about a thing...just hop on and enjoy your fully guided motorcycle holiday. Guaranteed Reliability We guarantee that whichever tour you choose, we provide a great tour with an interesting itinerary that will make the most of your days on a motorcycle in New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our tour groups being small and personal Each tour has an average of 8 to 10 motorcycles. We do not ride in convoy. Each day, your tour guide will hold a comprehensive briefing and then you have the choice of either riding with the group or on your own. Having a very large motorcycle fleet gives you the security and peace of mind that in the unlikely event of a breakdown or accident we can supply a replacement bike – even in high season so you can continue your motorcycle holiday with minimal disruption. A booking deposit per person is required to confirm your tour booking. Cancellation fees will apply if a confirmed booking is cancelled. Personalized Tours Personalized Tours are fun self-drive tours with a guiding hand for the first 2 days making affordable motorcycle holidays. New Zealand Motorcycle Rentals pioneered this new concept called semi-guided tours. These are mostly self-drive, but where the professional guide accompanies the tour party for the first two days, to get you used to riding in New Zealand, then departs leaving a detailed itinerary, booked accommodation, maps and instructions, we've selected really nice bed and breakfasts where we know the hosts look after the tour party and let them know what there is to do in a region. 'It's like having a guide the whole way round'. The other advantage is that semi-guided tours can depart at any time and can be customised to your own requirements, however we do require at least 30 days notice. Departure dates for Personalized Tours are organized by request to suit you. They include your choice of motorcycle, accommodation, ferry crossing/s etc. Everything will be pre-booked, so there is nothing left to chance and nothing to worry about. And best of all you're free to travel independently taking in what you want when you want! Customised Tours All our Personalized Tours are customised to suit your preferred date and length of holiday! We custom design an itinerary for exactly the number of days you have available for touring New Zealand and can include any special interests you might have. To give you an idea of what your tour could look like, we have pre-designed a few itineraries of 7 days, 14 days and 20 days length. For any other length of time you want to tour, we will adjust your itinerary to suit. Flexible Schedules You also have the option to travel one-way from Auckland to Christchurch or vice versa. Our Personalized Tours depart from Auckland or Christchurch on any day of the week so readily fit in with your other travel plans. There is no minimum number of clients needed per tour. The Tour Procedure Upon arrival in Auckland or Christchurch you will be given an introduction to New Zealand's customs, road rules, an overview of your tour and the motorcycle/s, as well as a comprehensive tour booklet which includes itineraries, maps, accommodation vouchers, etc. Orientation Days One of our Tour Guides will accompany you on a motorcycle during your first two days on tour. Treat this as an exciting start to your New Zealand adventure, visiting some of our best motorcycling roads. This may include visiting the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula or the Bay of Islands, if you depart from Auckland, or the famous Arthur's and Lewis Passes if you depart from Christchurch. All meals are included for these first two days. For those of you who normally drive on the right hand side of the road, this also gives you the chance to get used to driving on the left! Your Motorcycle You can choose from any of our motorcycles for your Personalized Tour. Your preferred make/model is all inclusive of unlimited kilometres, insurance, and 24 hour support.
