The minimum hire period is 7 days. Hire commences from the day of pick up to the day of drop off. Hire charges are based on a daily cost calculated from day of pick up as day one to drop off as the last day.

2 Berth units are Petrol powered - 4-6 Berth units are diesel powered, all vehicles come with a full fuel and LPG tank (camping gas, propane) vehicles are to be returned with a full fuel and LPG tank. Note for Auckland returns, the LPG tank will need to be refilled at a gas station at least 15 kms from the airport - this is due to an airport authority requirement that there be no LPG refuling stations within 15 kms of the airport.

All prices quoted are totals per day in New Zealand dollars, they include unlimited kilometres, AA road side service and taxes. Insurance bond is extra. Nomad campervan service includes free pickup & drop off at Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch airports, Free pickup from motels etc within 10 kms of the airports. There are no extra charges for one way rentals to these cities. Other pickup and drop off locations can be accommodated by arrangement but may be subject to a relocation charge.

There are more than 300 fully equipped camping parks spread around New Zealand. Booking is not normally necessary except during the peak holiday periods (December to January).

2 Berth Campervans are 1991 - 1994 Ford or Toyota petrol units - All units are very clean, tidy & reliable.

4 Berth Motorhomes are 1994 - 1996 Mitsubishi or Isuzu diesel units - All units are very clean, tidy & reliable.

6 Berth Motorhomes are 2006 Mitsubishi Canter diesel units - All units are very clean, tidy & reliable.

In New Zealand we drive on the left side of the road and give way to traffic from the right. Speed limits are strictly enforced: 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 100 kilometers per hour on the highways. Distances are measured in kilometers.

A standard car license is all that is required to drive an RV in New Zealand. All drivers must present a current New Zealand, International, or acceptable overseas license written in English at commencement of hire, Hirers and drivers must be over 21 years of age.

2 berth Campervan bond applies. This bond can be reduced by paying a daily insurance - the daily insurance rate is calculated depending on the term of hire - Daily insurance options are full cover including glass breakage. Daily insurance options significantly reduce your insurance cost.

4 berth Motorhome bond applies. This bond can be reduced by paying a daily insurance - the daily insurance rate is calculated depending on the term of hire - Daily insurance options are full cover including glass breakage. Daily insurance options significantly reduce your insurance cost.

6 berth Motorhome bond applies. This bond can be reduced by paying a daily insurance - the daily insurance rate is calculated depending on the term of hire - Daily insurance options are full cover including glass breakage. Daily insurance options significantly reduce your insurance cost.

Cars / Sleepervans bond applies. This bond can be reduced by paying a daily insurance - the daily insurance rate is calculated depending on the term of hire - Daily insurance options are full cover including glass breakage. Daily insurance options significantly reduce your insurance cost.

Full vehicle and third party Insurance is compulsory - There is an excess (insurance bond) on 2 berth campervans, 4 berth motorhomes,, 6 berth motorhomes and on all cars / sleepervans.

For drivers 25 years or less the excess will be plus 25%. The insurance Bond is normally held in the form of a credit card imprint - and is not debited unless the vehicle is involved in an accident.

The bond can be reduced by paying a daily insurance - The daily insurance amount is calculated depending on the term of hire and in all cases reduces the bond significantly. - Please enquire for a quote.

The insurance excess will be held in the form of a Bond this can be paid in the form of a credit card imprint, Cash, Travelers cheques or a Bank transfer, It is fully refundable at the completion of hire - If the vehicle is returned in a reasonably clean and tidy condition - all holding and waste tanks are empty - the vehicle has not been damaged or involved in an accident - The fuel tank is full. All traffic infringements, speeding tickets etc. are the sole responsibility of the driver / hirer and will be deducted from the insurance bond if not resolved by the hirer.

We will charge an administration fee for paper work when we receive any traffic infringements.

Windscreen breakage is not covered by the bond and will be deducted from the bond. Windscreens are covered under the daily insurance option.

In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or breakdowns, Nomad Campervan Rentals can only be liable for the amount of your daily hire.

A credit card number or a deposit is required to secure a firm booking.

Policy applies unless other arrangements are negotiated between NOMAD and the hirer.

Fees in Percentage of Gross Rates if:

• 25 days before pick-up = No fee
• 24 days - 6 days before pick-up = 15%
• 5 days - 0 days and no shows = 50%
• If vehicle is returned early = No Refund

Hire payments can be made by Cash, Funds transfer to Nomads bank account, Visa, Mastercard or Travellers Cheques - Full payment is usually taken 7 days before the start of your hire, Please advise if you would prefer some other arrangement. All hires must be paid in full before commencement of hire.

Each campervan includes the following equipment: crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, frying pan, grater, chopping board, salad/serving bowl, storage containers, toaster, kettle, bucket, shovel, broom, sleeping bags or duvet, blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, tea towels, LPG gas bottle etc; all you'll ever need.

Each camper features a travel information pack which includes details on camping grounds, maps, sightseeing brochures and general information.

Pickup and drop off locations are Auckland (Mangere Airport), Hamilton (Airport, Motels, etc) & Christchurch (Burnside).
