Minimum rental period: 5 days. Vehicle rentals are calculated on a per calendar day basis, i.e. day of pick-up or drop off is always counted as a full day irrespective of what time it is collected or dropped off.

Special conditions apply for rentals of more than 50 days. Details available on application.

One way rentals are available between depot locations. No one-way fee is applicable.

A valid national drivers licence is required. National drivers licences, which are not in English, need to be presented in conjunction with an offical translation or valid international drivers licence. The minimum age is 21 years.

All KEA Campers vehicles come with comprehensive insurance cover. A standard excess applies in the event of any damage to either our vehicle or third party property. The renter will also be fully liable for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. A security bond of will be taken on vehicle collection. The security bond can be paid by cash, traveller's cheque or credit card. Should the bond be paid by credit card the amount will be debited to your account immediately, any currency fluctuations are not the responsibility of KEA Campers. The bond is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property and the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged.

KEA Campers offer the following two (2) options to reduce or waive the Standard Excess:

Excess Reduction 1
Excess Reduction 1 per day will reduce the excess for any damage to either vehicle or third party property. The renter, however, will be fully liable for replacing or repairing damaged windscreens and tyres. The bond can be paid by cash, traveller's cheque or credit card: a manual imprint of the credit card will be taken. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property and the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. The total insurance charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days.

Excess Reduction 2
Excess Reduction 2 at per day will waive the excess for any vehicle and third party property damage and the cost of replacing or repairing of windscreens and tyres. However, a security deposit of is payable at the time of pickup to ensure that the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date in clean condition and with the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. The total charge is limited to a maximum of 50 days.

IMPORTANT: The renter is fully liable for any damage to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property if:

• The terms of the rental contract are breached
• Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving on restricted roads
• Water submersion or salt water damage caused through own fault

In case of any damage to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property a second bond will be collected to cover the excess for any subsequent damage.

Campers/Motorhomes can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads. No vehicles shall be driven on the following roads: Skippers Canyon Road, Ball Hutt Road, 90 Mile Beach, all unsealed ski access roads.

Repairs of up to a pre-determined amount may be effected without authorisation and will be reimbursed. Amounts above this require approval from KEA on-road assistance.

All vehicles must be returned with a full fuel tank. Re-fuelling at our depot will be charged at per litre of fuel.

Fees in Percentage of Gross Rates if:

• 25 days before pick-up = No fee
• 24 days to 6 days before pick-up = 15%
• 5 days to 0 days and no show = 50%
• If vehicle is returned early = No Refund available

Multiple rentals can be combined to qualify for a longer term rental rate. Australia and New Zealand rentals can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 12 month period.

If, for reasons beyond our control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no extra cost to the client. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter to any form of refund.

All charges include 12.5% GST. All rates and conditions are subject to change in accordance with changes in government taxes.
