If you intend touring both islands, you must leave your car on one island and a car of a similar type will be provided on the opposite side. Your second or subsequent vehicle must be picked-up within 5 hours of finalising the previous hire. The first or initial hire must be a minimum of three consecutive days.

Hertz have depots conveniently located throughout New Zealand, including offices at every airport and in the interisland ferry terminals.

No one way fee applies to rentals with a minimum of 4 days.

Tourer V8 4WD only available for one way rentals from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown City and Airport locations.

Luxury Tourer and Luxury Sports are not available for one way rentals.

Hertz offers free deliveries within a 10KM radius of any Hertz Metropolitan locations. Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Deliveries outside these hours are on request and a fee will apply please check at time of reservation. Deliveries from Hertz locations to lodges and resorts are available on request (A fee may apply, please check at time of reservation)

This service is available during office hours only and requires a minimum notice to Hertz of 48 hours in advance of rental date.

Any request for Optional Equipment must be made at time of reservation.
