Ezi-Rent Car Hire is the budget division of Nationwide Rental Cars and supplies well maintained cars of 3-6 years of age for the budget conscious traveller.

A comprehensive fleet of various sizes is available at Ezi-Rent Car Hire comprising of manual, automatics, sedans, hatchbacks and stationwagons.

One of the main advantages of hiring a car from Ezi-Rent Car Hire is the ability to exchange cars if you are travelling between the North Island and South Island of New Zealand, thereby saving car transportation costs on the Interisland Ferry. This is a significant cost saving and can avoid unnecessary delays at peak times.

You can pickup and dropoff at any one of our 13 branches throughout New Zealand.

We have depots strategically located in the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Wellington, Picton, Greymouth, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin.

One Way Hires are available and have a 4 day minimum between branches. A minimum hire between North and South island applies.

Ezi-Rent has branches in Wellington and Picton which means you simply leave your first car in one island and pick a fresh one up in the other.

If you have arranged to travel between the North and South Islands just drop your vehicle off at our Wellington (North Island) or Picton (South Island) branch and we will transfer you to the ferry terminal nearby. Our staff will meet you at the terminal on the opposite island and transfer you to our branch to pickup your fresh vehicle.

It is recommended that ferry crossing dates and times are advised at initial reservation and we can carry out this function and book for you at time of car reservation (recommended).
