Hire period is a 24 hour period although we give all customers a grace period of 2 hours over then another day is charged.


All drivers need to hold a full and current drivers licence. If from a non-english speaking country they need to hold an International drivers licence or hold a translated copy.

There are no extra charges for additional drivers however all drivers are to be over 21 years for general cars and 25 years for sports, speciality, 4WD and luxury vehicles.


If a hire is under 10 days returning to another branch there is a one way fee applicable. There is a minimum hire period of 7 days when returning elsewhere. It is always worth asking us if the hire period is under 7 days as sometimes it suits to relocate a vehicle.


Branches are Christchurch, Queenstown, Nelson and can arrange to meet customers in Picton and Greymouth at the ferry or rail station with their vehicle and they are welcome to return to any of these locations including Picton and Greymouth.


Office Hours are 0800 - 1700 7 days. By prior arrangement we can meet customers after hours (a late call out fee will apply).


Rates are fully inclusive of insurance, tax, unlimited kilometres (unless luxury or sports 1-3 days), pick up from airport/hotel, return to airport upon departure, maps/guides, bottled water etc.


All vehicles are fully insured however all vehicles carry an excess/deductable which can be reduced by paying additional daily amount if all drivers are over 25 years.


There is a bond required which is the same amount as the vehicle excess. This is either held in cash or as an authorisation on their credit card which is cancelled upon return as long as there is no damage and the vehicle has a full tank of petrol.


We provide a full tank of fuel at commencement of your hire we request the vehicle is returned full. Where this is not convenient we will fill it up for you and on charge to you. There is a surcharge for this service.
