Most overseas motorcycle licenses are valid for use in NZ. The same restrictions apply to the license as in the country of origin. It is recommended that if your license is not written in English that you bring with you an English translation of the license.

Your tour - and rental bike will be fully insured, your excess being the first NZ$ 1000.00 which is to be secured by credit card, travellers cheque or cash.

The bond will be refunded after the bike is returned in the condition it was delivered to you.

Private travel insurance is highly recommended.

This service is available between Auckland and Christchurch or vice-versa. For a rental term over 28 days it is free of charge. For rentals of less than 28 days a fee applies.

Bike Adventure New Zealand is responsible for providing and arranging the services listed in our tour itineraries. We are responsible for conscientious travel preparation and to review our contractors and accomodations on a continuous basis.

Bike Adventure New Zealand will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents and/or bodily injury or death resulting from the use of a motorcycle related to tour participation whether accompanied by a guide or riding solo, or related to motorcycle rental.

As a rider you are solely responsible for your choice of riding style and adhering to New Zealand traffic laws.

For your comfort and enjoyment we recommend you supply all your own riding gear. However a range of accessories is available.

For all Bike Adventure New Zealand customers and guests a free airport transfer is available.

Upon confirming your booking and departure date, a deposit for each person is required within 10 days. Without being asked, final payment is due no later than 8 weeks prior your tour departure.

Upon confirming your booking a deposit of 20% of the total hire price is required within 10 days. Balance of payment must be paid in full at the time picking up the motorcycle.

Tours: Bike Adventure New Zealand can not guarantee all our tour departure dates. We reserve the right to cancel any tour up to the 20th day before tour departure. Any deposits and payments will be promptly and fully refunded.

You may cancel a tour at any time, however a cancellation fee will apply:

Up to 8 weeks prior to tour departure = 50% of your deposit

Up to 4 weeks prior to tour departure = 20% of tour price

From 4 weeks until tour departure = 50% of tour price

No-show = 100% of tour price

Rental: You may cancel your booking at any time, however a cancellation fee will apply:

Up to 4 weeks prior pick-up of your motorcycle = 50% of deposit

From 4 weeks onwards = 100% of deposit

Deposits and balance of payments may be made by credit card (Visa/MasterCard) authorizations or bank transfers. Amounts billed to your credit card will generally be in New Zealand currency.

Balance of payment for your rental motorcycle may be made by travellers cheque, cash or credit card.

Deposits are fully applied against final payments.
