Daily Hire Rate includes GST and unlimited kms and is calculated on each calendar day.

Minimum hire period of 7 days applies.

Insurance is mandatory at NZ$ 15.00 per day. This does not include windscreen damage, tyre damage, tyre punctures and water damage.

Bond/Excess applies. The hirer/driver is responsible for the amount of this Excess of all claims. The bond is payable on pickup by creditcard (Visa and Mastercard). The bond is held subject to the terms and conditions of the contract e.g. the safe return of the vehicle in an undamaged, complete and clean condition.

A deposit is required to secure bookings with the balance due at pick up. Visa and Mastercard accepted.

Minimum age of all drivers is 21 years and they must produce a valid drivers license. National drivers license of Australia, South Africa, USA, Canada,and Western Europe are accepted or an international drivers license is required. Two drivers maximum.

Free transfers between the airport and our depots on day of hire or return of vehicle, within office hours. Arrival flight details essential.

Depots at Christchurch and Auckland.

One way and Return hires accepted between these depots with no relocation charges. However charges will be payable for other places or if the drop off depot is changed during the hire.

Pickups from 8.30am and drop-offs by 4.30pm.

Late Returns will be charged at double rates plus costs.

Fuel tank to be returned at same level as received on pickup. Drop off refill charged to hirer.

If for reasons beyond our control the reserved vehicle is not available we reserve the right to substitute a comparable vehicle. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to any form of refund. If a substitute is not available our liability is limited to a full refund of monies received by Ara Rentals Ltd.

Complete lost days refunded but no liability accepted for alternative arrangements.

Please report these immediately for prompt attention. Retrospective claims will not be recognised.

Refunds will be handled by the Christchurch office.

No smoking in vehicles. Pets or livestock not permitted in our vehicles.

No refund paid for unused hire days.

Hires are subject to the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement.

All rights reserved to refuse any Hire under any circumstance.
